High-Level Debate on Financial Education of Children | Global Money Week 2023

At the occasion of Global Money Week 2023 Czepczyński Family Foundation and Marek Belka, Member of the European Parliament are organising a “High-Level Debate on Financial Education of Children”. The debate will take place in the European Parliament in Brussels on 22 March 2023 between 10:00 and 12:00 in room A3H1.

We have invited distinguished guests and experts including representatives of cabinet of Commissioner McGuinness, OECD, Central Bank of Portugal, European Banking Federation, European Commission DG FISMA as well as education sector and regional authorities.

Invited guests and experts will discuss the importance of financial education of children, initiatives taken at EU level and what can be done to further improve financial literacy of the youngest.

Czepczyński Family Foundation, Wielkopolska Region and Central Bank of Portugal will present examples of best practice.

The aim of this debate is to raise awareness of the importance of ensuring that young people are financially literate. This can be achieved only, if from an early age, they are gradually acquiring the knowledge, skills and behaviour necessary to make sound financial decisions and ultimately achieve financial well-being and financial resilience.
