ABC Emocji

ABC
of Emotions

The project aims to raise awareness about the role of emotions in everyday life, teach individuals to recognize and name their feelings, and develop skills for coping with difficult situations.

Project goals:

  • Supporting teachers and educators by equipping them with practical tools and methods for working with children
  • Helping children function better in group settings by developing their empathy, social skills, and ability to cope with challenging situations
  • Teaching children to recognize, name, and regulate their emotions
  • Incorporating elements of sociotherapy, psychodrama, art therapy, and movement into education
  • Adapting education to today’s challenges by promoting and supporting children’s mental well-being

The project is centered around the book “The ABC of Emotions: Understanding Yourself and Others”, written by Wiktor Czepczyński, Żaneta Kupczyk, and Irena Ranosz-Talarek. The book continues the adventures of Zosia and Max, characters already familiar to children from “The ABC of Economics…” and “The ABC of Empathy…”.

Now in third grade, the young protagonists experience everyday situations that teach them valuable life lessons. Each chapter focuses on a different emotion – such as sadness, shame, loss, or anger – helping children better understand their feelings and learn how to cope with them.

The project also includes a methodological guide for teachers, offering practical tips, suggestions for group activities, and student worksheets related to specific emotions. The program is based on proven pedagogical methods such as sociotherapy, psychodrama, art therapy, and movement in education.
